Marching for Daffodils, Piltdown

Marching for Daffodils, Piltdown

This is the springboard of the initial exploratory pieces. Upon the bare nakedness of the exhausted and cold earth sit the oast house and farm buildings on the brow of a hill in Shortbridge. I have turned the farmhouse into a marching, continuation* through the earthy field churning up and working the soil, a wheel as his feet and another as his hips. Echoed in the wheel theme are the daffodils and the stars. In stark contrast to the muddy, thick colours are the brilliant and blinding little sunny orbs.
