This is my ceramic take on a painting done by Picasso of a woman ironing, the painting is of a miserable scene of a poor young woman enslaved in the chore of ironing. It was an adverse reaction to the curvaceous coil pots I had learned to make of which. I have written all about this technically tricky piece in my booklet “Diary of a Painter turned Potter” in the chapter entitled ‘Poor, Emaciated, Enslaved and Miserable’
