Painted en plein aire in situ, on a scorching day in the lay-by on the A27. The lay-by is mostly for juggernauts to pull in so their hungry drivers can refuel. Worst bit was when a very large large one pulled alongside and didn’t switch off his engine. Hmph! The delightful and proud owner came out and pulled open his ornate “Chips” flaps, then obligingly posed leaning against his bar!
